  • Sarah May Probably was trying to kill something...
  • Rick Fite Staffordshire Terrier mix.. ....that has pitbull written all over it
  • Lisa Gaffney Because predators are sooo worth saving. The most surprising thing in this story is the dog was microchipped. Thats a first.
  • Pamela Kafirfarm Liner Any other breed would die...
  • Sarah May Microchipped, but will the owners come forward?
  • Lori Lynn Christiansen Why would someone torture it. Why not just kill it? It make no sense.
  • June Mason No excuse whatsoever for treating any animal like this..no matter what the breed
  • Sabra Steele I doubt very seriously any one did this to the dog. He probably ran up the tree after a cat or a squirrel
  • Rose Solesky I agree, doesn't make sense that someone put it up there for obvious reasons. It was chasing after something.
  • Lisa Gaffney "Animal control officers rescued the dog and carried him out of the marsh on a stretcher. Officials say the dog was stuck on the limb for 24 hours and believe he likely ran up the tree while chasing an animal."
  • Carol Miller Only a pit bull could do this and only a pit bull could live through it.
  • Rose Solesky It is shame that Pit Bulls have such a bad reputation but clearly they are dangerous. First of all, all dogs can and will bite given the circumstance. the reason pit bulls are so dangerous is that when they attack they can do great damage and or kill. For that reason I don't think that the SPCA shud allow families with children to adopt them. One fatality from a dog breed is one too many and people with children shud be discouraged from adopting them. I know what I am talking about having experienced almost losing a grandchild from injuries by a pit bull. Thank God we lived in close proximity to the great Johns Hopkins. My grandson was in surgery for 8 hrs just to save his life. Any animal that can do that kind of damage has no business being a PET. Obviously, there will some Pit Bull owners out there that may dispute me but these are people that love their dogs and no amount of common sense will be able to discourage them from thinking their dog is different. I pray they are right.
  • Sarah May Money is the bottom for pit pushers. Public safety is shoved under the rug...it's their dirty little secret.

  • Pamela Kafirfarm Liner Pit bulls will jump out of moving vehicles to attack (I had that happen when I was young and dumb and owned pit bulls) so I believe it went into the tree I'm an attack mode...people couldn't get a dog up there like that...
  • Joanna McGinn neighborhood peeps get tired of being threatened by ANY of these dogs whether that particular dog is a problem or not.... it should be a real warning to OTHER owners to start facing up to responsibilitlies of having these dogs.

  1. If Solesky could spell, she could be turned. McGinn is her usual Christian self with her words of wisdom. But Fite gets the grand prize for equating Staffordshire Terriers being the same as Pitbulls. No dunce cap for him.
