WHY WASN'T SUSAN IWICKI CHARGED FOR DAX'S DEATH THEN?

Jena Wright was charged with child endangerment and neglect of a dependent person in the death of 4-year-old Jordyn Arndt in 2013.
Jury selection started Wednesday at the Jasper County courthouse in Newton.
Arndt's father talked to KCCI about his daughter and the upcoming trial on Wednesday. Jason Arndt told KCCI's Mark Tauscheck that he's been waiting two years for justice.
Jordyn Arndt was mauled in the dog attack in April of 2013. She suffered a severe bite wound to her head and neck, and died within 24 hours.
Police arrested and charged the woman who was supposed to be watching Jordyn, 26-year-old Jena Wright.
If convicted on both charges, Wright could face up to 35 years in prison.

  • Rebecca Furr About time they started holding people responsible for the damage their pit bulls do.

    • Marisa Nordstrom You don't know what you're talking about. The people at this site rightly include Staffordshire Terriers as pit bulls, along with any other dog that fits the description. American Pit Bull Terriers, American Staffordshire Terriers, pit type dogs, Pits masquerading as so-called "Boxer-Labs" … these dogs and many more are pit bulls. Did you have a point, BNMonaghan?

  • Marisa Nordstrom The mother of the victim knew this criminal pit owner for 15 years. What do you think her culpability is? Daddy's? They took the risk? No, they didn't take the risk, they MADE their little dependent child take the risk, and that child was brutally killed by Momma's longtime friend.
