Valerie Webber "It just breaks my heart to think of all the wonderful cats and dogs that died in shelters who would have benefited from no kill, but not enough people cared. Now that shelters are infested and clogged with unadoptable Pit Bulls, there is a major push for no kill. How do some people sleep at night?"

This came in my email today, yet another dangerous and aggressive Pit Bull being foisted on a community that is already infested with the savages. This shelter has long been a no kill shelter, but there is no excuse to further endanger the lives of innocent animals into which this cat and dog aggressive Pit Bull will be adopted. We don't want your aggressive Pit Bulls in our neighborhoods! They even are giving the killers away for free this month because NOBODY WANTS THEM! Shows how big the Pit Bull problem is, they don't ever give cats away and what shelter is not over run with cats and kittens in the month of May?
Animal Friends Pittsburgh
Petunia, a sweet 6-year-old Pit Bull mix, was brought to Animal Friends as a stray. Although not a fan of cats or other dogs, she is very friendly towards people and would love to snuggle with you all day long.
And now, throughout the month of May, all bully breed dogs like Petunia are priceless at Animal Friends! Petunia’s adoption fee has been waived.

  • Cindy Lorenz Welcome to the new world of no-kill. It doesn't matter any longer what temperament issues an animals has or if it goes to a responsible home- all that matters is that it leaves the shelter alive, with no thought to what happens after

  • Laurel Davis he joked a bit with hanging up--but he is the one who "educated" me about maulers. Sad to say--even with lots of experience--I wrote it off for years as "that individual dog must have had a problem". My Dad is in his 80s--and the minute he saw one he knew what they are. Haven't been Nanny's in his lifetime.

  • Nancy Perdue"So STUPID!!!" If nobody wants the damn dogs then they should just dispose of them. Like that damn Pitbull/American Bulldog mix that mauled that poor little boy. It's name is Mickey it first mauled a puppy to death. That there should've been a red flag to the dumb owner to get rid of the damn thing! Then a little 4 year boy whose babysitter should've known better, and the dog's owner too somehow allowed the child near the dog. He was curious and touched one of it's bones. After that the animal went Shitbull and ripped & busted up the right side of poor little Kevin V.'s face. A whole community of crazy Shitbull lovers fought for the dog's life to be spared. It's just a vicious dog stupid A. holes! It's living in a jail for dangerous dogs, now it's Facebook page says; Watch Mickey Beat Cancer. Why in the hell should anybody in their right mind care if that thing has cancer? Maybe it'll quietly kick off soon and rid the world of one less vicious useless dog. grumpy emoticon

  • Nancy Perdue Maybe the dog was done wrong by it's owner, but my feelings and thoughts go to that little boy that it disfigured. I can imagine the horrorible physical & emotion pain that poor little boy has been going through. Needing mutible surgeries on his face that will never look the same, and he probably has flash backs of being attacked too. frown emoticon

  • Valerie Webber I still can't figure out why charges have not been pressed against Lupe, she was well aware of the dangers of Mickey before taking Kevin to him.

  • Nancy Perdue Yep her & the dog's owner should have had child endangerment charges filed against them.
